Ice jams on the Athabasca River caused major flooding in Fort McMurray and forced 13,000 people from their homes...this on top of the crisis of COVID-19. The community of Fort McMurray has been struggling...the forest fires exactly four years ago, the current economic crisis and downturn due to the collapse of the oil and gas industry, and now this.
We were there four years ago alongside Samaritan’s Purse bringing physical, emotional and spiritual aid to those affected, and we are there again this spring.
